                                                               Electro-homeopathy

Electro-homeopathy is derived from the word “homeopathy,” which is a system for disease treatment where a patient is given very small doses of natural medications that in bigger doses would result to symptoms similar to those of the disease itself. The name “electro-homeopathy” is obviously a combination of the word ‘electro’ (pertaining to a content of electric bio-energy that is extracted from plants) and homeopathy (an alternative medical belief created by Samuel Hahnemann during the 18th century).

Electro-homeopathy is defined by some complementary medicine sources as the use of any electrical device in combination with homeopathy. However, others contend electro-homeopathy as a therapeutic utilization of homeopathic preparations of specific bio-energy herbs. It is known to be different from the national homeopathy, which relies on consecutive diluted medications or remedies of various substances that bring about like symptoms. On the other hand, electro-homeopathy does not live by the “law of similars.” But they are the similar because of the fact that the scientific and medical community regards both homeopathy and electro-homeopath generally as quackery or pseudoscience.

The medical practice of electro-homeopathy is a healing art simply through the use of herbs alone. It was formulated by Grafen Ceasre Mattei (known also as Count Ceasre Mattei), an Italian who was bestowed a Count by Pope Pius IX because of his impressive healing remedies. Mattei was influenced by spagyrism and homeopathy practices and started treating his patients through his creation of a medicine with a one-of-a-kind process of “Cohobation”.  And after 30 years of devoted experimentations with spagyric medicine, he eventually coined a new idea of health and disease. He then introduced his latest invention in the year 1865.

Although homeopathy and electro-homeopathy are being compared, they have a lot of differences. First of all, Hahnemann, the man who discovered homeopathy, tried his remedies’ effect on healthy men and then observed the effects afterwards. On the other hand, Mattei believed that the only path to medical power and knowledge is to try a remedy on a sick person and observe the effects it has on a person, which is exactly what he did. Plus, Mattei does not recommend subdivision of the remedies, dynamization to create real effects to be exact. Hahnemann wanted the exact opposite.

Mattei said that the dose of the remedy to be given should be the opposite ratio to the disease’s intensity. This leads to the electro-homeopathic philosophy. This philosophy states that a cure is a result of “organicco-vital reactions” which are caused by the agents we know as remedies and that these reactions are lessened in terms of proportions for less vitality is retained in the organism’s center. The philosophy also states that it will be deemed necessary to lessen the quantity of medicine in ratio to the severity of the disease and that if you do otherwise, you would be contradicting the law of nature, which is the famous line “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”.

The electro-homeopathy medications are called the spagyric essences, which are made from one hundred and fourteen herbs through a delicate process known as “cohobation”. In alchemy, this is the reassmblin of purified elements acquired by means of spagyrism. A spagyric essence is colorless or yellowish and has a very intense aroma.

Amidst all the homeopath discussions, the big quandary is to know if a person has a right to diluting the medicine amount or not. There are some who believes in electro-homeopathy and there are some who do not. It sometimes makes sense to lessen the amount of some medication for taking too much medicine may cause some side effects. But sometimes, there is a need for you to know when to do so.
